Our AI engine continuously scans hundreds of news sources — from Reuters and NASA to The Lancet and community networks — and evaluates every article on a Bloom Scale of 1 to 5. Articles scoring 3 or above appear on Newphoria. Everything else gets filtered out.
The Bloom Score measures constructive value: Does this article inform? Does it point toward solutions? Does it show progress? Articles that focus purely on fear, conflict, or sensationalism score low and don't make it to your feed.
We also maintain a section called The Wonderfully Weird — for the genuinely strange and fascinating stories that don't fit neatly anywhere else.
